Yesterday, we got rid of my old car, so we had to clean it out. Who knew one could gather so much stuff in a car over a five year period of time; most of which was trash. Lord, we humbly come before you and ask that you please bless our friend(s) with new employment opportunities so that they can afford the essential things in life including a house to live in.  Please take their hands and guide them in the right direction- the direction that runs parallel with your perfect master plan.  We also ask that you let your presence be felt so that they remember that they do not travel across this bumpy road alone.

I’ve been missing in action on the blog for quite a while. After finally getting a diagnosis for my son, he has been asthma free since February 21st, and I’ve been celebrating with him instead of sitting behind my computer. Life doesn’t get too much better! Every aspect of our lives has improved. Do you know someone who has a child with a chronic illness? Do something nice for them today. Speaking from past experience, they could use a reason to smile. Happy Hump Day!

I honestly can’t recall what I used to do on the computer prior to Facebook.  As best as I can remember, I spent my days surfing Craigslist and changing my profile song on MySpace.  Speaking of which, I should really delete that account.  Anyhow, Facebook happened, and now I spend a little time each day checking in to see what my friends are up to or looking up old friends and classmates to see how they are, but never looking up old foes to glance at their photo, remember that final straw that broke the camel’s back and check their status (sometimes with my bottom lip pooched out… sometimes not).  I was on Facebook the other day and loved a fellow dachshund rescuer’s status update (yes, I’m a member of dachshund rescue).  It is one of those statements that makes you think all day long.  I’m not mentioning her name, but check it out… (more…)
